According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Wisconsin State University quarterback, Graham Mertz has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). College Football Fan, Walt Chantry, shares the scoop on the team’s official statement:

The 2020 college football season was immediately off to a shaky start.  For weeks, fans weren’t sure if there even would be a season played… This uncertainty was largely due to the status of the pandemic, which continues to impact the world today.  The college football sphere has been no exception to that impact.

According to a statement released by Wisconsin State University, the team’s quarterback, Graham Mertz has tested positive for COVID-19.  Reps for WSU also stated that Mertz will take a second coronavirus test to ensure that his initial test has not read a false positive.
