What’s in store for the 2020-2021 College Football season has been a toss up for months now. 76 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams are standing their ground and fighting to play, because there’s more at stake than NCAA competitions this year…
Ever since Mark Emmert’s announcement that all NCAA fall sports championships are out of the question for 2020-2021 (except for football), Football Island has been in a frenzy. Sure, they’re safe.. But only for now. Anything could change at any moment, which has 76 FBS conferences in a nail-biter of a frenzy!
The top teams in College Football are committed to playing the season. And they won’t have it any other way! Coaches of the 76 teams explain that while the game of football is incredibly important in and of itself, there’s more at stake than the sport alone. Many athletes are currently in a bitter conflict involving their athletic scholarships as the college field as a whole evolves to meet the needs brought on by COVID-19. That worry alone has players demanding to let the games begin! As a major college football fan, Walt Chantry certainly hopes that nothing will get in the way of the upcoming season.
