At a world-famous paleoanthropological site in the city, researchers discovered 40,000-year-old leg bones of a Tianyuan man. The discovery is leading scientists on quite the adventure as they’re faced with diving even deeper into human history overall. Through careful analysis of extracted ancient DNA from the bones, researchers are now speculating that there were once many genetically distinct groups of people living within the Asian continent.
